Our cathedral choir is an ensemble of auditioned choristers who sing at weekly Sunday services of Holy Communion, monthly services of evensong and other major liturgical observances in the church year. The choir helps support congregational singing and offers a range of choral literature from the Anglican cathedral tradition, the folk tradition of African-Americans, newly written works and idioms from other cultures. We at Christ Church Cathedral consider children to be an integral part of our faith community. We celebrate the ways children can minister to all of us, as well as the ways we can help them grow in many areas of life and faith. Our Boys and Girls Choir is for any child age 7-11 (grade 2-6). No prior musical experience is required. Older youth are welcome to serve in leadership roles. The work of the choir is based on the Royal School of Church Music (RSCM) Voice for Life curriculum.
